Q: Why WinCustomizer - Admin
Edition?
A: WinCustomizer - Admin Edition's primary use is to force restrictions
on specific Windows accounts(users):
- At work:
- In your
Office/Company, you may want to put some
restrictions on your employees(prevent them from running
games/browsers/etc... , prevent them from messing up with Windows,
prevent them from accessing the Internet, etc...)
- In your Internet
Cafe/Cyber Cafe, you may want to allow
only a set of programs to be launched, anything else will fail to run,
you may want to prevent them from messing up with Windows, also you may
want to prevent them from shutting down the computer.
- At home:
- you may want to
prevent your children from messing up
with Windows, prevent them from running games, etc...
Of course there are other uses for WinCustomizer - Admin Editon that we
don't know.
It can be used to control the following aspects too:
- Which icons are allowed to appear on the desktop.
- Which items are allowed to be included in Startmenu.
- Enable/Disable certain features in Windows(Task Manager,
Command prompt, RegEdit, etc ...).
- Prevent access to Windows control panel.
- Enable/Disable certain features in Microsoft Internet
Explorer(Autocomplete, Autocomplete prompt, etc ...).
- and much more... you must try to see
for yourself.
Q: I've
just created a new user
account,
however I can't find it in WinCustomizer - Admin Edition
?
A: After creating a user account, you must log on to this account one
time at least, so that Windows can create a new registry hive and other
stuff for this account, until then, WinCustomizer - Admin Edition can
not edit this user account.
